Arizona EMS Refresher
FOAMfrat Studio offers CAPCE-accredited continuing education courses accepted by the NREMT for Arizona EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics—meeting both national and state-specific requirements
Arizona follows a dual-track system where providers can maintain certification through either National Registry (NREMT) or state-only certification.
National Registry Recertification: All certifications are renewed every two years and follow the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) model with three components: national, local/state, and individual education components.
State-Only Recertification:
EMT: 24 hours of continuing education (CEs) mirroring the content of a traditional refresher course.
Advanced-EMTs, Intermediate-99s and Paramedics: 48 hours of continuing education, with a minimum of five hours in pediatric emergency every two years.
