Nevada EMS Refresher
FOAMfrat Studio offers CAPCE-accredited continuing education courses accepted by the NREMT for Nebraska EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics—meeting both national and state-specific requirements
Nevada follows NREMT requirements for EMS recertification. All certifications are renewed every two years and follow the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) model with three components: national, local/state, and individual education components.
For State ONLY recertification providers must complete the hours defined below that meet their respective level of certification
EMT Refresher
40 hours total continuing education required
National: 20 Hours
Local/State: 10 Hours
Individual: 10 Hours
AEMT Refresher
50 hours total continuing education required
National: 25 Hours
Local/State: 12.5 Hours
Individual: 12.5 Hours
Paramedic Refresher
60 hours total continuing education required
National: 30 Hours
Local/State: 15 Hours
Individual: 15 Hours

Nevada EMS providers (non NREMT) must complete continuing education hours approved by the Division of Public and Behavioral Health: 24 hours for EMTs, 30 for AEMTs and 40 for Paramedics, CEUs should be spread across categories such as trauma, medical, pediatric/geriatric, cardiac, skills verification, and related specialties (max 10 hours per category)
