Florida EMS Refresher

FOAMfrat Studio offers CAPCE-accredited continuing education courses accepted by the NREMT for Florida EMTs and Paramedics—meeting both national and state-specific requirements. 

Florida follows NREMT requirements for EMS recertification. All certifications are renewed every two years and follow the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) model with three components: national, local/state, and individual education components.

Non-NREMT Providers: EMTs must complete 30 (2 hours pediatric specific) hours of continuing education every two years. Paramedics must complete 40 (2 hours pediatric specific) hours of continuing education every two years.

National: 20 Hours

Local/State: 10 Hours

Individual: 10 Hours

Paramedic Refresher

60 hours total continuing education required

National: 30 Hours

Local/State: 15 Hours

Individual: 15 Hours
