Hawaii EMS Refresher
FOAMfrat Studio offers CAPCE-accredited continuing education courses accepted by the NREMT for Hawaii EMTs and Paramedics—meeting both national and state-specific requirements.
Hawaii follows NREMT requirements for EMS recertification. All certifications are renewed every two years and follow the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) model with three components: national, local/state, and individual education components. For providers who DO NOT hold NREMT shall submit evidence of continuing education that includes: EMTs 24 hour State approved EMT Refresher + 48 hours of additional continuing education. Paramedics 48 hour State approved EMT Refresher + 24 hours of additional continuing education.
EMT Refresher
40 hours total continuing education required
National: 20 Hours
Local/State: 10 Hours
Individual: 10 Hours
Paramedic Refresher
60 hours total continuing education required
National: 30 Hours
Local/State: 15 Hours
Individual: 15 Hours
