Oklahoma EMS Refresher
FOAMfrat Studio offers CAPCE-accredited continuing education courses accepted by the NREMT for Oklahoma EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics—meeting both national and state-specific requirements
Oklahoma follows NREMT requirements for EMS recertification. All certifications are renewed every two years and follow the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) model with three components: national, local/state, and individual education components.
EMT Refresher
40 hours total continuing education required
National: 20 Hours
Local/State: 10 Hours
Individual: 10 Hours
AEMT Refresher
50 hours total continuing education required
National: 25 Hours
Local/State: 12.5 Hours
Individual: 12.5 Hours
Paramedic Refresher
60 hours total continuing education required
National: 30 Hours
Local/State: 15 Hours
Individual: 15 Hours
Additional Information:
Nationally Certified EMS personnel must maintain their National Registry license in order to renew their Oklahoma license.
Our CAPCE-Accredited courses are automatically imported to your NREMT Transcript using the 'Import CAPCE Courses' on your NREMT Transcript page.
Non-Nationally Certified EMS personnel still operate under pre-2016 statutes requiring a State approved refresher course and the additional Con-Ed requirements. (view here)
