Kansas EMS Refresher
FOAMfrat Studio offers CAPCE-accredited continuing education courses accepted by the NREMT for Kansas EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics—meeting both national and state-specific requirements
EMTs must complete 21 hours of continuing education, including 21 hours in Core Components (Airway: 4 hours, Cardiovascular: 6, Trauma: 2, Medical: 6, Operations: 2, Pediatrics: 1) and 7 hours in flex component. A total of 28 hours of continuing education must be completed.
AEMTs must complete 27 hours of continuing education, including 21 hours in Core Components (Airway: 4 hours, Cardiovascular: 8, Trauma: 3, Medical: 7, Operations: 3, Pediatrics: 2) and 17 hours in flex component. A total of 44 hours of continuing education must be completed.
Paramedics must complete 32 hours of continuing education, including 21 hours in Core Components (Airway: 4 hours, Cardiovascular: 10, Trauma: 4, Medical: 7, Operations: 5, Pediatrics: 2) and 28 hours in flex component. A total of 60 hours of continuing education must be completed.
EMT Refresher

National: 20 Hours
Local/State: 10 Hours
Individual: 10 Hours
AEMT Refresher
50 hours total continuing education required
National: 25 Hours
Local/State: 12.5 Hours
Individual: 12.5 Hours
Paramedic Refresher
60 hours total continuing education required
National: 30 Hours
Local/State: 15 Hours
Individual: 15 Hours
Additional Information:
The amount of continuing education credit obtained in one calendar day shall not exceed 12 clock-hours.
Kansas EMS Certifications must renew every 2 years by December 31st.
