Nebraska EMS Refresher
FOAMfrat Studio offers CAPCE-accredited continuing education courses accepted by the NREMT for Nebraska EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics—meeting both national and state-specific requirements
Nebraska follows NREMT requirements for EMS recertification. All certifications are renewed every two years and follow the National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) model with three components: national, local/state, and individual education components. For State ONLY recertification providers must complete the hours defined in NCCP that meet their respective level of certification
EMT Refresher
40 hours total continuing education required
National: 20 Hours
Local/State: 10 Hours
Individual: 10 Hours
AEMT Refresher
50 hours total continuing education required
National: 25 Hours
Local/State: 12.5 Hours
Individual: 12.5 Hours
Paramedic Refresher
60 hours total continuing education required
National: 30 Hours
Local/State: 15 Hours
Individual: 15 Hours
Additional Information:
EMTs, AEMTs, and paramedics in Nebraska must recertify every two years.

Nebraska Critical Care Paramedic must maintain their Nebraska Paramedic License and hold a current International Board of Specialty Certification Critical Care Paramedic Certification or Flight Paramedic Certification.
